These are portraits of entertainers and visionaries that have passed at the age of twenty seven. Bridging the first series of Portraits and the second series of Manifestations—for celebrity often impacts us emotionally though their talent, artistic prowess and intellect, the work looks to capture the complexity of those that inspired many but passed both tragically and unexpectedly at a young age. It is around this age that we lose our youth to adulthood and we are at times a tumultuous mix of both. The color of the work is unpredictable, random and haphazard to reflect internal growth and maturity despite never reaching it beyond the age of twenty seven. The form, that of a biomorphic shape blending with a primary shape of a circle, represents the morphing phases of life.
